Autumn Badger Bicycle Mug

Wendell is a badger who rides his bicycle through the orchards every afternoon in autumn. The basket on the front is always too full. He goes slowly along the lane with his scarf streaming out behind him, his wheels ticking over a road covered in fallen leaves. Apples keep coming down off the branches ahead of him and he stops for every one, loading them onto the pile until the basket creaks. Then he wobbles off toward the village with the whole lot rattling behind him, on his way to leave a bagful on somebody's step.

A whole autumn afternoon wraps around this mug, with orchard trees, a village in the distance and a badger having the best day. The one that lives at the front of the cupboard from September on. Lovely for tea drinkers, cyclists and anyone who loves fall.
