Rowan is a raccoon who walks the ridge every evening with a lantern. He found it behind the woodpile back in the spring and cleaned the glass himself, and now he carries it low in both paws where it lights the ground just in front of his feet. A leaf landed on his head somewhere near the stream and has ridden along with him ever since. The path climbs up through the moss and the roots and comes out where you can see the whole valley going blue. He sets the lantern down on the flat rock at the top, sits beside it, and watches the lights come on one at a time in the houses below.
Warm lantern glow against deep navy, and a raccoon with genuine character in his face. One of those designs that looks better in person than on a screen. A favorite for raccoon fans, campers, night owls and anyone drawn to a bit of woodland mischief.
